Questions before you begin

Know what you are trying.

The current pilot, the roadmap and a paid production release are three different things. Here are the practical details.

Who can use the pilot?

Gates Timekeeping is intended for U.S. owner-led businesses with up to 30 employees. Evaluate with a few people and sample records before rolling out.

Do I need a credit card?

No. No subscription checkout or automatic paid conversion is enabled.

What works on a phone?

The authenticated browser clock works on internet-connected phones. A home-screen shortcut is available through supported browsers. Native Android is a test build; iPhone has no published native app yet.

What happens without an internet connection?

Use your company’s alternate record and correction process. The browser does not save verified offline punches, and the Android beta’s offline behavior should not be relied on for payroll.

Can my team use one PIN kiosk?

Not currently. The legacy shared PIN path is disabled until company-specific device pairing is implemented and tested.

Does Gates Timekeeping calculate overtime or submit payroll?

The pilot’s recommended export reports recorded worked hours. Payroll professionals and your payroll provider must apply the appropriate workweek, pay rules and tax handling.

Will an invited employee get an email?

Automated invitation email is not configured. The manager receives the initial access details and must share them securely.

Can I see a demo without creating an account?

Yes. The interactive sample demo and time card calculator are available without signing in.

Keep the tools.
Lose the unnecessary overhead.

Try Gates Timekeeping with your team. No card to start. No payroll-provider switch. A practical workflow for your next workday.
